A skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist is needed for a contract role (to the end of 2025) supporting the HR team of an oil and gas company.

Job Title: Payroll Specialist
Pay Rate: $39 – $41 per hour
Location: The Woodlands, TX (Hybrid), In-office Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday; remote Wednesday and Friday
Schedule: 9-hour days Monday-Thursday, 4-hour day on Friday

Responsibilities:

  • Process bi-weekly payroll using SAP Payroll
  • Maintain payroll-related records and spreadsheets
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and time entry
  • Research and resolve payroll and timekeeping issues

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of payroll administration experience
  • Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, SAP, and/or SuccessFactors
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CCP) preferred
