Position Details:

  • Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
  • Salary: $$79,000- $104,000 (Based on Experience)
  • Schedule: Full-time | 40 hours/week | Monday–Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM
  • Work Split: 70% at center, 30% in-home visits
  • Mileage Reimbursement: Provided

Requirements:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program (AOTA & AMA).
  • Degree: Bachelor’s, Master’s (MOT), or Doctorate (OTD) in Occupational Therapy.
  • Certification: National Certification by AOTA or eligibility for the National Registration Examination.
  • Licensing: Registered and licensed in the state of practice.
  • Other: Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, good driving record, and auto insurance as required by law.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year working with frail or elderly populations (preferred 2+ years in a geriatric setting).
  • Software Proficiency: EPIC (EMR), Outlook (email), MS Teams (team communication & meetings).

Role & Responsibilities:

As an Occupational Therapist, you’ll play a vital role in enhancing participants’ quality of life by providing comprehensive evaluations, personalized treatment plans, and hands-on care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting clinical evaluations and assessments at acute, restorative, and maintenance levels.
  • Designing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to participant needs.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to integrate occupational therapy into the Plan of Care (POC).
  • Educating participants and caregivers on ADLs (Activities of Daily Living), safety measures, and proper use of durable medical equipment (DME).
  • Performing home visits, assisting with equipment ordering and maintenance, and ensuring participant safety.
  • Documenting progress, updating care plans, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Assisting in staff training, interdisciplinary team meetings, and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Reporting incidents, variances, or concerns to ensure patient well-being and safety.
